Facts about our job

  • Bighearted Scotland is a unique partnership of six diverse charities dedicated to making Scotland a better place for all
  • One in four Scots will experience mental ill health at some point in their lives. Penumbra, one of the Bighearted Scotland members, supports 1,000 people across Scotland every week.
  • Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland, one of the Bighearted Scotland members, supports 3500 individuals in Scotland every year

Bighearted Scotland brings together six amazing charities that provide a broad range of services and support for Scotland’s people and animals. We believe that together we offer a unique way of supporting a breadth of charities that are dedicated to making Scotland a better place for all. Supporting Bighearted Scotland means that your donations go straight to the following amazing charities:

  • Epilepsy Scotland works with people living with epilepsy to ensure that their voice is heard.
  • Erskine cares for veterans and their spouses, offering unrivalled nursing, residential, respite and dementia care.
  • Momentum provides rehabilitation, training and care services for disabled and socially excluded people throughout Scotland
  • OneKind aims to end cruelty to Scotland’s animals through campaigns, research and education.
  • Penumbra is one of Scotland’s largest mental health charities supporting around 1000 adults and young people every week.
  • Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland seeks to support those affected by spina bifida and /or hydrocephalus and allied conditions and to raise public awareness.

Monthly Donations

  • £5 per month or £60 annually

    Pays for a child living with spina bifida to attend a music workshop

  • £7.50 per month or £90 annually

    Allows education materials about dog welfare to be printed and distributed to new owners

  • £10 per month or £120 annually

    Sponsors one young person to participate in fun and challenging activity sessions and workshops helping them to understand and manage their epilepsy more effectively.

  • £20 per month or £240 annually

    Equips a specially adapted veterans cottage. The cottages can be adapted to suit veterans with a wheelchair, with mobility difficulties or in need of housing support.
